Why do a Dove Cresswell
Review?
My Dove
Cresswell review of her dog training guide has mixed reviews.* I'll give you the pros of my
Dove Cresswell review, then I'll give you the cons.
For starters, Dove Cresswell is
one of the most sought after top dog trainers in North Hollywood. She trains dogs specifically for television
shows, movies and commercials! So naturally, a Dove Cresswell review of her dog training guide was in
order!
Her dog training guide is unique
because she gives you 7 lessons – all on video! Most other dog training guides have you download an ebook.
That’s not a bad thing, but I know a lot of people (including myself) learn better through
video.
That's exactly why I had to do a
Dove Cresswell review - because most dog training guides are strictly eBook, and who has time to
read?
How Does Dove
Cresswell's Dog Training Work?
So here is how her program
works. You get 7 lessons, in the form of videos. The advantage of video is that you get to hear exactly the tone
in which to deliver your commands to your dog. Also, seeing someone live training a dog has added advantages
over reading an eBook.
Unlike an ebook,
where you may second guess yourself as to whether you are getting the hand signals right or if you’re being firm
enough with your dog, the videos show you if you’re doing the training correctly.

Lesson
#1 – Puppy Housebreaking/Potty
Training
This is the first
lesson given in the Dove Cresswell Review. It’s for all ages and breeds. It teaches you how to housebreak and
potty train your puppy in the shortest time possible. It also teaches you to learn and understand your puppy’s
behavior – which we quite often misunderstand and end up getting frustrated. There’s also a special section on toy
dog breeds.
Lesson #2 –
Crate Training
The second lesson
will relieve anxiety for you and your dog. Why? By crate training your dog, you won’t
have to worry about your dog chewing on your favorite shoes and/or furniture when you leave the house. In this
video, you’ll also learn the proper crate size to use and whether to use plastic vs. metal
crates.
Lesson #3 –
Dog Obedience Training
Lesson 3 is the
“meat and potatoes” of Dove Cresswell's dog training program. This video will teach you the correct body
language to use when training your dog for maximum effectiveness.
Learn how to get
your dog to “sit”, “stay” “down” “fetch” and “wait”! And in lesson 7, you get more in-depth training for how to
stop dog aggression, leash pulling, biting, nipping, barking, chewing and
more!
Lesson #4 –
Walk Politely on a Leash/Informal Heel
This lesson will
teach you how to train your dog to stop pulling on its leash, how to heel; learn the correct way to put a choke
chain on; teach your dog how to stop ducking out of its choke chain.
Lesson #5 –
Recall
This lesson teaches
you how to train your dog to fetch and return. Mainly, it teaches your
dog to come whenever you call – all the time.

Tricks
This lesson teaches your dog all
kinds of neat tricks like how to shake your hand, how to rollover, how to wave and even
